Frequently asked questions

How do you make a circle in Minecraft?

Minecraft is made of square blocks, so a "circle" is a ring of blocks placed on a grid so that every block sits as close as possible to a true circle of your chosen diameter. This generator draws that grid for you — just copy it row by row in game.

Should I use an odd or even diameter?

Odd diameters (15, 21, 31…) have a single centre block, which makes them easier to centre on a build. Even diameters have a 2×2 centre. Both work — pick whichever matches your build's footprint.

How does the sphere mode work?

A hollow sphere is a stack of circles, one per layer, shrinking towards the top and bottom. Use the layer slider to view each layer's circle, and the tool adds up the blocks across every layer.

Does the block count include the corners?

The count is exactly the blocks drawn on the grid — the ring only for outline mode, or every filled block for a disc. Nothing extra is added, so add a few spare blocks in game for mistakes.
