Frequently asked questions

How many cakes do I need per egg?

One cake per breeding attempt, and each attempt produces one egg — except the Vegetable Cake (Technology Lv.47), which makes the pair lay two eggs at once, halving the cakes you need for a big batch.

What is the classic Cake recipe?

5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Egg and 2 Honey, cooked in a Cooking Pot (Technology Lv.17). Flour itself is milled from Wheat at 3 Wheat per Flour, so one Cake really costs 15 Wheat — the shopping list in this calculator includes that conversion.

What do the specialist cakes do?

Palworld 1.0 added four: Mushroom Cake (Lv.30, offspring talents grow more easily), Vegetable Cake (Lv.47, two eggs at once), Extravagant Vegetable Cake (Lv.60, more mutations and easier talent growth) and Special Cake (Lv.74, offspring inherit multiple passives more reliably). Save the expensive ones for your final breeding pairs.

Does cake go bad in the breeding farm?

No — cake stored in the breeding farm's box does not spoil, so you can bake a large batch in advance and let the farm work through it.
